I am looking to travel on the tube in London on New Years Day. Will there be a reduced service?

I am travelling between London Paddington to Liverpool street.
I cannot find anything on the transport for London website.

Any ideas?

For several years now the underground has been free on new years day.

There is usually no service at all on the tube on New Year's day because the drivers are up late doing the late run for free for the revellers. You will find though that buses are running on a reduced timetable. Call TFL for more info nearer the time. There will be buses running but you might have to change once. I know the No. 15 goes from Paddington into the City but you'll probably have to change to get to Liverpool Street.

There are plenty of tube trains running on New Years Day - there's a massive New Years Day parade in central London plus the mob trying to get home after the all-nighter etc.
