Default What is the best airline or travel service to use when looking at traveling to London from the US?

We're starting out in Santa Fe (New Mexico, US), traveling to London, England ...where is the best place to start looking for tickets? What airlines are best?

Start with www.itasoftware.com. It's a site used by travel agents but anyone can register and use it for free. It will give you lots of options but you cannot book from this site. You can get all the booking details for the airlines though.

Then I would suggest going directly to the airline website and booking from there. That way if you have any problems of any kind, you booked with the airline and they take care of you. They cannot say you have to go back to your booking website.

depending on prices and that, the easiest way to things is by booking with one airline.

So from New MExico....I would fly with United or American Airlines....stop over in New York and then fly the same airline onto England.

Some other good airlines that only do New York to London are British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and also look at Air Canada going through Toronto...see what prices are best.

To get a true understanding on prices, pick you dates (or as close as you can to your dates) and go to each airline website. Travel agents are also good and they can give your more tips about booking eith certain airlines. Most airlines say that they are the best...travel agents can help you choose airlines and they can also tell you if the airfare is likeley to rise.

so either airline website or travel agent...please dont go on those cheap sites like expedia, priceline and them....you dont get and flexibility with those tickets at all.

To answer your first question, http://www.flysilverjet.com

To answer your other questions, go for whoever's cheapest, because if you fly economy class transatlantic, there's not much difference among them. Try http://www.bookingbuddy.com

You could try a travel agent or sites like Orbitz and Priceline. I've always found that British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are comfortable and pleasant airlines to fly with :)
