I want to do traveling photography, what collages are good for that?

preferably in texas

Me being a UK resident, it will be hard for me to suggest colleges in Texas, however i do know that colleges that specialize in art are always the best for photography.

I know many people who have taken photography and want to do this as a career, and the ones who i have seen become most successful are the ones who graduate from an art college or a college that specializes in art.

http://www.ed2go.com/coursegroup/photography.html has an online course in travel photography. They have some kind of geo-locater on their website. Click on "Learn more" and it will take you to the college nearest to you that offers this course. They do have colleges in Texas as well.

Some of the best photography schools in the US are near Texas, but not in it. If you're willing to go to school out of state, though, you could check out the programs at U New Mexico, Arizona State, and U Arizona. All are top ranked photography programs.

If you want something closer to home, there are top notch art programs at U Texas Austin and U of North Texas. Really great art schools at those universities, and if they offer photography, they'd be well worth applying to.

First, college is spelled c-o-l-l-e-g-e. Second, despite what these individuals think, there are not a lot of awesome photography schools in Texas. The best schools are in New York. SVA, Parsons, FIT, RIT... One school you should look into for journalism is the International Center for Photography. This school is absolutely amazing. You should ask all those people who think the best schools are in Texas how many photojournalist exhibits they have attended in Texas. I am not talking about someone who wants to be a journalist, but someone who has been one. Have they seen work by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, or Steve McCurry? Do they even know who those people are? That is what you get out of going to school in New York, it is more than an education. There are museums and galleries which display famous individuals work all the time. Heck, Leica wouldn't have a gallery in New York if it wasn't one of the best places to study photography.
