Which is the better travel guide book: Frommers or Lonely Planet?

Are there any other travel guides you recommend.

Personally I prefer the Lonely Planet guides.

I have read a cople of Lonely Planet guides, and I would say that the authors are just bragging most of the time. So I would trade my LP guide for any DC comic book. Definitely would pick Frommers.

I think it depends what age you are and where you specifically are going. I find Frommers to be written more for an older crowd, and its guides are stronger for European cities. Lonely Planet is also strong in Europe, but its amazing for Asia really. Also, the target audience is a little younger, so the recommended places to stay and eat are not as high end as Frommers.

Thats my experience. I have become a Lonely Planet fan (much better than Let's Go Guides).
