Default Can you suggest good travel guide books?

There are so many guide books out there, but since they're a bit expensive, I would like to buy one that's 'complete'.

Many people agree on that Lonely Planet and Rough Guides are pretty good.

I am no traveler, but how about National Geographic's Traveler?
If you sign up online on it's website, you will get a discount and maybe other great offers from other National Geographic stuffs such as documentaries, journals and much more!

Emm, how about this one?

Lonely Planet has the most varied and concise books, ranging from areas of a specific city to entire continents. I traveled from Paris to Mongolia by train and car, over ten weeks, with just the Europe and Russia books. I have also used their guide to my home city just to find stuff to do. Lots of info, and regularly updated by travelers. They have a website with all of their titles.

I think Frommers are one of the best guide books. If you ae looking to save money and do what everyone else is doing for less- it's the way to go.
