Where can I find a trip distance guide to measure miles traveled?

I have sent a package in the mail to numerous friends around the world. I would like to know approx how many miles it will have traveled when I get it back.

Go to mapquest.com and put in the addresses under driving directions. It will tell you how many road miles it would be from point A to point B. That's the easiest thing I can think of. Hope it helps.

For world traveling, will it be earier to just measure the distance on Google Eearh or Google Map and refer to the scale on the side?
