Default What do you think would be the requirements to be a "Spiritual Travel Guide" , and do you think you fit them?

Laff and Woodcut- I do go my own way, yes indeed!

I have my copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

And I have my towel.

First of all, understanding of the subject.
A fool with such an authority would only serve to misguide.

I don't fit anywhere... I walk my own path, you do the same damn thing!

Good general education, with plenty of Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. Experiences with drugs or meditational "highs", addictions, relationships, sexuality of various forms, and lots of conversational human contact.
I fit them, and I have taught some people a few things.

Well, though I've had plenty of spiritual travels, I've never had much idea as to where I was going. I just followed my heart.

So I would say that while there may be some who can suggest directions we might like to consider, or whose 'traveler's tales' may entertain us, in the end this is a journey we must make alone.

For if we do not, it is not truly ours. And what could be worse than living someone else's dreams? Marching to the beat of someone else's drum?

So I think the best that can be hoped for is a few traveling companions. Cheery fellows who point out things we may have missed, provide occasional encouragement when the going gets tough, know when to keep quiet and, most importantly, when to go their separate ways.

Anyone who claims to be able to show us the way, in my opinion, is either a fool or a charlatan.
