What do pokemon eat? Where do Ash and his companions stay while travelling?

i know its a cartoon and all but there are a few other things id like to know as well -

do the humans eat pokemon?
are ther other creatures/animals besides pokemon eg cats,dogs,bugs?
of course i know they aren't real

they don't carry around any sleeping bags or other equipment besides their tiny little backpacks which fit all their food, cooking utensils and money (which i assume would be a lot since pokeballs etc are such a rip off..well in the game they are)

they are not real they don't eat or sleep

chicken something that look like dog food its round and thats all i know

i think pokemon eat some kinda speacial pokemon food

they stay in different places not a fixed place .

food made just for them (i think brock made it) and man... they have the video game backpacks.....

They carry sleeping bags in their backpacks. I remember earleir in the series there were scenes of them sleeping outside in the woods. Also, they stayed in Pokemon centers or with various people they met.

And Brock makes food for the Pokemon because he's a Pokemon Breeder.
