I currently subscribe to DirecTV, and have another system with dish and box just laying around not doing anything. Is it possible to put that dish and box on my travel trailer, and get a signal as I travel this summer? Any additional equipment required? And, how do you point the dish at each new location?
Thanks for the help. Edit: OK, I was surfing the 'net and looking at signal meters. There is a wide price range. Is one just as good as another? |

If you take a normal dish made to mount to a home, it will work, but only when stationary. The vehicle can't be moving or whatever. Everytime you move though, you'll have to adjust the dish in order to have it properly aimed in the right direction. You don't need to buy a signal meter...the directv box has a built in meter that will show you as your'e moving the dish how strong the signal is.
