I'm traveling to Italy in the fall and wondering if I should buy Euro's now, rather than when i get there?

Both: buy some euros now. When you will need euros you can buy in the Italy's banks.

right now the euro is high ie 1.6, I live in ITaly, and think that by the end of the summer it should drop a bit...or al least hope. Watch the exchange, maybe buy a bit now, it may possibily rise even more. All banks change money, only some limit the amount you can change at a time.
