University:Should I stay beside my parents or travel abroad?

Hello!
I will be going to university this fall hopefully :-) I am very excited and I've always hoped to study back in my homeland (I live in a country near my homeland)

I will turn 17 this July, but my parents think im too young to study alone in my homeland and the problem is my homecountry is a Middle Eastern country,and it's very turbulent and there is deep political instability so they think it's dangerous for me to go there

But things have always been like this,since decades! And nearly all my fellow citizens in class are travelling back and their parents dont mind...My parents are quite overprotective,so they fear for my safety and wellbeing alot

I really want to travel in my homecountry though,im mature for my age and my country is more relaxed and has a higher and cheaper standard of education and it's where I really want to study

Im scared to argue with my parents...what should I do?Should I try to convince them or just listen to them and stay here?

GO!!!!!!!!!!!!honestly you don't wanto to regret it, university is apparently the best time of your life so spend it how you want!!!!!

Try get one of your close friend's parents to try talk to them... that way, they'll base it on personal experience. if they can send their daughter/ son back to the homeland , maybe they can convince your parents ! Otherwise try telling them that it's about time you went back home to learn your culture, society and background andit's about time you became a part of it. Tell them you're old enough to handle yourself, and if something drastic might happen, you're wiiling to come back.. always give them the edge where they feel they have the power ! ;) works! xxx
