Default Will Scientist ever discover a way to travel faster than the speed of light?

It may seem like I'm digressing, please bear with me.

Do you think that someday science will find a way to travel faster than the speed of light?

Absolutely not. It's a physical impossibility to go faster than light.

The speed of light is an absolute, a barrier that can never be exceeded.

Only in Star Trek is this possible.

Maybe bending space, but traveling faster than light is impossible

the problem is as you approach the speed of light, your mass increases towards infinity, and you need an infinite amount of energy to accelerate an infinite mass...

we have no infinite sources of energy...

"Ever" can be a long time. Perhaps in a hundred thousand years or sooner we may figure out a way. As something approaches the speed of light, apparently time slows down making it theoretically impossible to be faster than the speed of light. That being said, there are things that are faster and it is possible that as someone suggested, they may figure out ways around it, such as worm holes.

I'm not sure where your going with this.

We are on the fringe of knowledge so travelling faster than the speed of light cannot be entirely ruled out.

To travel faster than light is impossible in accordance with the laws of physics as we now understand them.

It's not likely, but who knows? With the advancements that we have now, they could.

Maybe but If it is discovered then it would be impossible for a person to travel with such a high speed. If he does so he would die .
