Is car travel ending in Los Angeles?

I read some stuff Mayor Villaraigosa is doing. Also will community gardens become dominant over supermarkets in LA and elsewhere and will all existing development in LA be demolished and LA be turned into what some environmentalist in Ithaca, NY wrote what it could be in a concept paper?

If you have lived in Los Angeles for any more than one or two years, you'd know nothing ever changes here, and just about nothing ever gets done.
