Reccomendations for Activites near Calabasas, CA? Young Couple Traveling There in May!?

I am taking my girlfriend to Cali for our 2 year anniversary.

We have been to LA and San Diego TONS of times, so we devided to go more north, and stay in calabasas.

We want to see the NICEST beaches, what do you guys suggest? We like to find shells and explore, not just sit in the sand. We really enjoyed the la jolla cove in san diego and hope to find something similar.

What is there to do around there? I was thinking of driving up the 1/101 along the ocean just as like a scenic/romantic drive.

We will be there for 4 days, we plan to spend EACH day at the beach, then do whatever at night.

I was told there is awesome creeks and streams in that area, is that true?

We like to just spend the day exploring and adventuring rather than going to places that cost money like amusements, so what would you guys suggest?

As for beaches, there isn't a lot of beaches like the coves in La Jolla. If you want some tidepools, you're going to have to drive about 60 miles north to Carpinteria.

However, there are some nice bluffs around Malibu. It's a VERY nice drive down Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon to the coast. Just keep driving north to Oxnard... it's a beautiful drive.

There are some good creeks in Malibu Creek State Park, right down Las Virgines. If it looks familiar, it is where they filmed MASH.
