There is no edge to our universe.
If you mean to the edge of our visible universe, then if you flew to the edge you'd see essentially the same thing you see now, only in a slightly different arrangement. It is assumed our universe is basically isotropic, so no matter where you are you'd always see the same stuff. |

There is no edge to the universe, so you cannot go to it. There is an event horizon beyond which you cannot see from this location. The event horizon is created by the expansion of the space of the universe, and the expansion can be greater than the speed of light. This does not violate special relativity because the space is expanding.
No matter where you are in the universe, it all looks the same at cosmological scales. |

opinions are divided but there is a general consensus that there may be an end? to our known cosmos/galactic area created by the big bang. It is also possible we simply cannot 'see' any incoming light as more stars etc may be so far away in light years it hasn't got enough light for us to see anything. It is possible also they there simply Inst anything else beyond our known universe. Coming back to the non seeing bit. it may also be possible that dark matter or no reflecting gas clouds are in fact obscuring our penetration or vision but so far infra red and x-ray search are still going on.
