I'll be living overseas for two months without access to a gym. Where can I find workouts that I can mostly do on my own without resorting to machines? I don't want to do the same things every week (pushups, situps etc.) but kind of shake it up. I'm looking to really sweat during these workouts. What suggestions do you have?

well, maybe do variations of push ups, situps, etc.
Theres a good cardio exercise called a burpee. Its where you start in a squat position then fall to the ground in a push up position, do a pushup, then bring your knees to your chest, jump up, rinse and repeat. |

Either get a Kettlebell, a resistance tube and/or find things to substitute for dumbells.
You can also look for military workout routines. Or do your own. Put on a packpack and add some weight, go running sprinting, whatever. Then do a couple of laps in a pool if available, then do pushups, situps, pullups, boxing etc.. Challenge yourself by beating your own time to keep it interesting. Here's a list of things you could do with a resistance tube and/or objects as weights or a kettleball Biceps -curls with tubing or object Triceps -dips between chairs, add wt with objects -1-arm overhead tri extensions with tubing or object -french curl with tubing or object Forearms -reverse curl with tubing Delts/trapz -front/side raises with objects -shrugs with objects or tubing -pullups on door (also good for back and biceps) -upside down pushups against wall Chest -incline/decline/flat pushups -speed pushups on incline -1 handed pushups -flyes with objects -dips between two tall objects Back -close/wide grip rows with tubing -close-grip chin-up (hands overlapping) -deadlifts/good-mornings with tubing/objects/kettleball etc. Thighs -step ups with objects -lunges -squat jump -one-leg squat |
