Default when do you think is an appropriate age to travel to spain with my kids?

I have 3 kids
Luvina is 5 months old
And Ramiro and Randall are 5 years old.
When is the right age to take them all on a family trip to spain?

Tengo 3 hijos
Luvina es de 5 meses de edad
Y Ramiro y Randall son 5 años de edad.
Cuando es la edad para tener derecho a todos ellos en un viaje familiar a españa?

here is it in spanish for all my spanish friends.

I would think that there are two factors, here: What you plan to do? And how much you think the baby can handle. And that goes for you, as well. Certainly, Spain is an industrialized country. You won't have any trouble finding things like formula (if you need it) or diapers...they are readily available. I, personally, would not want to travel with two possibly whiny five year olds and a screaming baby on an airplane...But only you know how your children are likely to react to a flight. (all night if you are coming from the US, and half a day before that if you are travelling from the west coast - I guess it's only a couple of hours if you're going from Britain - so you can judge that).

If you have a travel stroller, your baby will probably be just fine most of the time. The boys, well, you can't very well push boys that young to walk through the Prado Museum for two hours or more, but you can certainly interest them in the armor and castles in many places.

I took my 8-year-old last year, and he did really well. There were a couple of days when we really tired him out, but he had a really good time overall.

If all you are planning is a beach holiday, then that shouldn't be any more difficult than many other possible destinations.

Oh, and it isn't la edad derecho...it's la edad justa or correcta...derecho is like a right of law. and derecha is right hand.

It depends on how far away you live. If you are in the states, the main issue would be the transatlantic flight. Do you want to be the parent of the crying baby on a flight that is at least 8 hours long? Do you want to be pushing around a stroller the entire trip? I'd wait until the youngest daughter has reached age 8. That's when the whininess seems to be gone and no naps or stroller are necessary. I know that's awhile away, but you also want them to be able to remember the trip. If you go now, even the five year olds won't remember it.
By the way, your Spanish is flawed! Touch up on that before you go to Spain.

I agree with Sue
I think its great that you want to travel with your kids to another country as I was never given the chance till later in life.
always expose your kids to other countries and cultures!

The flight might be long if your coming from the America's ..
I live in Madrid and you'll find everyrthing you need for the kids.

I've been traveling since I was two weeks old my mother sent me to Spain alone in a plane for the first time when I was 11.

Spain is a great country it's safer than the US plus they are more kid tolerant over there big on family if you know what I mean don't worry have fun.

I have a 3 yr old son, and he will be going to Spain for the third time this summer. His first trip was at 6 months of age.

The right age to take them is when you, as the parent feel like it's time!! You know what travel is like...you know what a long plane trip is like...and you know your children.

Granted, we have a home in Alicante, and our family is there, so that makes it much more comfortable. That being said, my son has also been to Mexico, Germany, as well as both coasts on the US and many places in between, where we don't have a home or family!

If you are willing and able, any time is the right time!

Suerte!
