UK citizen travelling to Russia?

I'm a UK citizen. Me and a friend are planning a trip through Europe and Russia. Europe won't be a problem cos it's EU, but I am wondering what, if any, paperwork I will need for a 10 day (maximum) stay in Russia?

I think you need a Visa for over 30 days, which doesn't apply to me, but I have read it's best to get one even if you're not staying that long...

Any advice?

If You go to Vladivostok you will need more time

Standard tourist visa is needed. You will need to register within three days of entering and each time you move addresses.
