Default traveling to vegas...check my bag or carry on?!?

Okay, so I'm going to Vegas for 3 days, and really don't want to have to deal with checking my luggage, but at the same time, I will need to carry things like shampoo, hairspray, perfume... things like that.

It is a direct flight so i don't think i'd have to worry about them losing it if i do check it, i just always find it easier to carry on!

So, the question is, should i carry on and buy stuff (which may get a little pricey) once i get there, or just check my bags and take it all with me?!

I always try to carry on. I'm pretty sure all the stuff you mentioned comes in travel size containers. If you're going to Vegas, I think you might be losing more money than just buying hairspray anyways.

You can make your own containers of your liquids rather than purchasing the small ones. Just buy (unless you have them) containers to hold 4 oz. or less of your liquid necessities. Then have them in 1 quart zip-lock bags ready for the carry-on security check. It's cheaper than purchasing the small sizes and you can reuse the containers on other trips.

I agree with you about checking your bag if you don't have to. It's a time sponge waiting for them to unload to the baggage claim, and if they lose it....a real pain!

Have fun and good luck!

McCarran is a very easy airport to deal with, I would check a bag.
