If you are not being silly, I meant to ask when do you think it will happen, i.e. space travel?

When do I think it will....what?

Probably not for several hundred years...we are still in a relatively "infant" state..when it comes to space travel...but each and every day..progress is being made to eventually get to that point..but we have a long way to go.

Not until we get fusion reactors working. For such long distance, the ship would basically have to be a big arc. Building a big arc that will last (with POWER) for tens of thousands of years will tricky. I don't see why it couldn't be physically possible in a few hundred years. Like going to the moon now, it will then simply be a question of economics and motivation. Who's going to PAY for those trips?

Within the next 50 years space travel should be common place for humans. The private sector already launched vehicles into low orbit.
