Going travelling around Europe, any suggestions?

I'm going travelling in the summer and using the interail.
I definitely want to go to Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Venice and Barcelona.
Is there any where else that you would suggest going?

You might as well visit Florence and Rome while you're in Italy. I'd also do a stop in the South of France as well, while travelling to Barcelona. And you should take in Lisbon in Portugal, gorgeous place, wonderful people.

Avoid Berlin - too filthy and too many Nazis.

I suggest Hamburg - Germany´s boomtown. Best nightlife, great sights, art, museums, shopping and beautiful cities nearby: STADE, Lueneburg and Luebeck!!!

How long will you be traveling? This would help us determine other places for you to visit.

A common problem for railpass riders is that they try to visit too many places, so their trip becomes a blur of trains and train stations instead of the places they went to see.

you should definitely visit Barcelona. i love that city! it is great!
as for Venice, i would advice you to go there for only one day because it is a bit smelly (if you know what i mean...)
Paris is also nice but still there is much filth in the streets (no offense- this is my personal view)
Berlin is also very good and there are many places to visit there (I also like Hamburg very much).
Amsterdam and Barcelona are two of my favourite cities in Europe.

Still, I am a little bit surprised you didn't mentioned a greek city. Athens is really great and there are many things you could see/ do that you cannot find it the rest european cities.
So, I would suggest you to go in Athens or in a greek island. Greece is a magnificent country with sunny weather and its people are so kind and good that you will love it! If, in the end, you actually visit Greece, I would be glad to tell you some places you could visit there :-)

Budapest is a fantastic city, loads to see, great nightlife as well. It well worth a visit.
