Default since light is not instantaneous, and therefore takes time to travel. do we see anything(including each other)

yeah we just see it with a time delay
when you look at yourself in a mirror you see your older version (older by a nanosec but older)

Only how we were. Generally a small fraction of a second ago, but in the case of stars sometimes many years ago.

It sounds a bit like television..

Yes, we see things because although lits is not instantanious it is really fast so fast that it seems instantainiou.

Yes, we see things that light is reflected off of, and yes, light is not instantaneous, but its so fast that it seems instant to us. The only place that you can actually show that light isn't, is space.

scattering of light is behind all this.when light falls on an opaque object like say a black board then most of the light gets reflected away n when this light falls in our eyes v r able to see the blak board.same happens in case of how v c each other.light travels with a speed of 3×1000000000 m/s.

With regard to faiona2003's answer, when I look in a mirror I actually see a younger version of myself (albeit by a few nanoseconds). It just seems like an older version.
