You can go to United.com since they fly direct from Guangzhou to San Francisco. You will then fly to Chicago and then can arrive in Akron.

You can also try flying China Southern to Los Angeles. You will then board a Delta Airlines flight and can fly into Cincinnati and then onto Akron.

I do not think the airlines give students special discounts.
