The train would be best unless you intend to hitch hike

Best way would be the train.

Other possible methods could be flight or bus. See www.skyscanner.net and www.eurolines.com for options.

Cheapest might be to check www.mitfahrzentrale.de for people offering rides in their private cars from Switzerland to Germany.

The advantage of the train is that it has the most connections, but it is usually the most expensive method of travel. But if you are lucky and book far enough in advance you might get the special for 39 or 59 EUR one-way from www.bahn.de .

One word of warning: If you intend to stay in Düsseldorf for the night, you better book your accomodation now. I once had quite a bit of a problem to find a place to sleep in Berlin the weekend of a big rock concert. Places to stay would be :

www.backpackers-duesseldorf.de
www.duesseldorf.jugendherberge.de
www.gartenhaus-eller.de

Or ask the tourist information in Düsseldorf for advice. www.duesseldorf-tourismus.de

Zurich to Disseldorf is 9 hours by train... On the other hand the airticket would cost about 170 Euros (with airberlin f.ex)...
Maybe you should look at this, a compined ticket (swiss and eurowings)at about 122 or more euros.

Good luck and have fun!
