I'm traveling to Italy. Do I need a voltage converter & plug adapter?

depends where you are travelling from - we don't all live in the same country

Look on the labels on your chargers, does it say something like 100vvolts to 240 volts 50/60hz ? Most newer chargers say this, thus are "worldwide voltage compatible", no TRANSFORMER needed. Watch out for the voltage converters, I don't know of any that will safely power a battery charger. Depending on where you live, you may need a plug adapter. Most USA cell phones won't work in Europe, you need a GSM type phone at least.
