My company just gave me the opportunity to work on a contract that has me going to military bases around the world to fix/add networks/computers. On the schedule is Colorado, California, Korea, Japan, Hawaii, Texas, Florida, and Ohio. Each trip is like two weeks and then I have like three weeks at home in Maryland in between trips.
Just not sure if I like going away from my hometown so much. I will miss my parents who I visit often and my sisters. Kind of a scary decision. What if I love a woman in Maryland and then they make me travel... so then I can't be there for her for two weeks. What do you think? Right now I am single and 24... but what if I find a girl in MD? because i might wanna get married one day, but if im traveling i might miss the girl of my dreams in maryland |

All I can say is I Live in NOVA (Northern VA) and we ALL know someone who travels for the Government... Its like we are all used to that idea around here! I work for the Government and I see our men being shipped out for YEARS at a time and If I was dating one of those men- I would wait. Its all in how you look at it!
-- If you find someone and she loves you for you- she won't mind waiting for you while you are gone. & About the Family... It will do you some good and make you grow up at the same time :D I'm 24 too.... GOOD LUCK- But take that job! |

You are young and this is a great opportunity for you. Take it and get the experience and don't dwell on the what if's. In your travels, you might even meet the woman that you'll marry so give it a chance. Most people would jump at this opportunity, so be thankful that it's being given to you.

Take the job. You can get married later. Not to be rude but there are plenty of women in the world outside of Maryland. Also, three weeks is plenty of time to spend with someone you like or are falling in love with. If they truly love you, they won't mind waiting a couple of weeks for you to return.
