On what basis are they payed?
How much do they have to pay for whilst on tour or is it covered by the band? Any information at all really. Any good websites etc. Thank you guys =) I will be 19 when I am fully qualified, Im thinking of just doing it locally (sydney australia) while im at tafe, to get known, maybe for free but my show tickets and stuff are paid for. I really just want to know a> how to get into it b> who pays me (the band, agents, ??) c> and how. per massage, per hour, and what is covered for me, accomodation, food etc. Thankyouthankthankyou. |

I don't really know how you would get into the job or massage therapist travelling with bands but I can give you a tip on the payment.
You said that when you finished the course, you will be doing it for nothing. When massaging, charge at least $30.00 per half hour. Try to advertise your service at sport clubs especially. Join clubs if you can and the best advertise of all is talk about it to people. Ask your clients to spread the word for you. Make sure when you massage to do a good job. There is no point in asking your clients to spread the word for you if they are not satisfied with your service. Also when you get really good, try your hand as a masseur for the australian tennis players or cricket players or australian footbal league or something like that. Finish your course first and then go for it. Good luck. |
