lol dogs don't need tickets.

I've taken my actual dog on a train before, just on a lead.

It was only for a couple of stops, and I stayed standing by the door. Didn't have any problems.

If its in a dog carrier thing then it should definitely be fine.

Small dogs i think can be like a lap child.
But a big dog you should ask about.
I am not sure if you have a get a ticket or not again you should ask!

Well I imagine he'd be very uncomfortable. Moving train, dogs aren't so great in a moving vehicle. But you'll have to check with you local train service. Not yahoo answers. :]

That will really depend on the the rail company and everyone has different policies. Contact the company and ask them. Some might allow it for free, some my require an additional pet charge of some sorts and some might disallow it completely.

In the UK, you can just walk on to the train with your dog and you don't need a ticket.

Certainly on local you can take a dog, though you may want to avoid rush hour.

I’m not sure about long distance trains. If you wanted to find out you could just call the train company and ask.
