you have larger seats and always with a table in front of you, there are far less passengers than standard class. you also have personal assistants for tea coffee etc... i think the tea and coffee is free? but not 100% sure on that... also the 1st class is usually situated at front so when you arrive at the station your the closest to exits... have fun!!!

not a huge amount realy! i never bother with first class!
Its only realy a benefit if you are travelling over night and want to sleep as the chairs are more comfortable. your get more space and the decor is probably a bit better! thats about it. if a table infront of you is what you want they have a couple of these seats on each carriage and there are usually a fair few carriages on trains that are going long distances. All of the other seats have pull down tables, which have handy little metal bits to extend it for laptops! (they also have plug sockets on most standard class seats) You will still have the same useage of the buffet in standard as 1st class. Hope this was what you were looking for |

Depends on the exact train you're travelling on, and train company you're travelling with.
In most cases you get wider seats with more legroom, and a proper table in front of you instead of a pull down tray. In some cases you may get a complimentary newspaper, tea, coffee, snacks, or even a meal thrown in. |

That really depends on the rail company. Almost all offer bigger and more comfortable seats with more leg room and on long distance trains you will get a free newspaper and free tea, coffee and snacks. Virgin Trains offer First Class passengers a complimentary light or full meal and complimentary alcholic drinks. The most important element of First Class rail travel is that your fellow passengers tend to be quiet and well mannered compared to those in Standard Class
