The cheapest way to go from London to Leeds this weekend is to buy two single tickets.
If you leave London Kings Cross at 7.30pm (arrives 11.34pm) you can get a single ticket for 22 pounds. Earlier trains are more expensive - you can get the 6.33pm (arrives 9.02pm) for 42 pounds. There are loads of trains back on Sunday which will then cost you 33 pounds. So if you get the 7.30 service to Leeds the total cost would be 64 pounds. Theses prices are all for Advance fares. That means you have to book the by midnight on Wednesday 8th of April. If I were you I'd book as early as possible though because these fares are limited. If you want to leave a bit earlier on Friday (and why not, it's a bank holiday after all!) it would be cheaper to buy a Super Off Peak Return at 84 pounds than two singles. That gives you a much wider choice of trains leaving London. All these prices were available on the National Express East coast website today. Get on there as early as possible to get the best fare! Hope you enjoy Leeds. |

You can also get an idea of train times at the link below. http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/pj/tt Looks like there are frequent trains from London King's X to Leeds [Mon-Fri] departing about every 20 mins. Journey time 2.15 to 2.30 hrs etc. Cheap tickets London to Leeds return [weekend] open. http://www.home.thetrainline.com/destinations/london_leeds.shtml |

The cheapest tickets are those you purchase in advance for specific trains. Unfortunately you've left it a little late for these. The cheapest ticket available for immediate use is the Off Peak Return which is valid on any train over the Easter Weekend. The trains run from Kings Cross Station every hour over Easter and the journey time is about 2 hours 15 minutes
