Can't you get a coach from Birmingham to London? National Express will take you to Victoria. From there to the London Apollo in Hammersmith will cost about £12 in a cab, or you can get the bus (the number 52 as far as Hyde Park Corner, change there and then get either the number 9 or 10 to Hammersmith tube station, literally across the road from the Apollo), or get the tube from Victoria (district line to Hammersmith, no need to change, journey time about 15 minutes).
