take a list of the stations the train is booked to stop at. When your train stops at the one before Gleneagles, (or Newcastle) you will know that the next station stop is the one you need to get off at. ( but still check name of station before you dis-embark!)

I'm in the states, but I ride the train to see my family several times a year. The conductor checks your ticket when you board and asks you where you are going. He puts a little slip of paper over my seat with the name of my stop. He will usually come by my seat at let me know that my stop is next and ask if i need any assistance getting off the train. They also announce each stop over the intercom.
Hope that helps. Happy travels and good luck with your interview! |

well im probably to late but announcements are made 2 minutes before station arrival which should give you plenty of time to get your stuff and get off.
Another way i tell passengers who are first time travellers is to count how many stops between where u get on and where you get off and you should be ok, failing that just ask someone, believe me you not the first and i promise you wont be the last. Hope your job interview went ok |
