It depends on how much the mules carry at once: There is no way they could do it in one trip.
Lets assume that a mule can carry 40 kilograms at once. A mule train would be able to carry 4000 kilograms, or 4 metric tons in one round trip of 200 miles. This means it will take 175 trips of 200 miles each, minus 100 miles if you don't plan to return the mules. 175 X 200 = 35000 miles A mule can travel about 20 miles per day. 35000 miles divided by 20 miles per day = 1750 days = 4.79 years! That does not include rests for the mules. |
