I am having to travel from north florida to maine by train and I was trying to find out what was the best way to travel with him, I want him to be as comfortable as possible, I will be traveling for 3 days and will be having to hop 3 different trains with all my luggage included so an idea with something small would be very helpful, please advise! Oh and thank you for all the help on my last turtle question I learned quite a bit! and I am not sure if I will have an outlet to plug anything in.

You don't have to worry about providing heat. For short trips I would just put him in a cardboard but for longer trips I would use a rubbermaid tote with holes drilled into it. For those longer trips I would provide moisture with a spray bottle and I would keep the towel inside the container damp. The moisture may not be needed since the turtles can go quite awhile without water but I would rather be safe than sorry.

put him in a plastic container with a damp towel in the bottom, keep the towel moist and take with you a spray bottle to spray him every so often, make sure the lid has holes drilled into it, and make sure your turtle has a good feed before you travel, you do not need to worry about the heat as he will be fine as long as the temp does not drop too low, make sure the container is just big enough for him to turn around in and have the towel as a buffer so slightly up the sides this will absorb any bumps, and stop your turtle being bashed about, best of luck honey i hope you both enjoy your journey.
