Travelling fr Toronto to NYC. Flying - out of the question. Which do you recommend - bus or train and why?

It's my first time to explore south of the border. I would like to enjoy the scenery on the way.

I prefer the train it's much more comfortable.
The scenery is nicer also.
Sometimes there isn't much to see along the highway.

Whether by train or bus, you can expect a long delay at the US border while all the passengers are examined by US Immigration and Customs.

Both methods have their advantages: bus tends to be cheaper, and several departure times every day. Also, the buses are faster, taking 11-12 hours depending on which trip you take.

Train is only once a day, but has bigger, more comfortable seats, and on-board food and drinks. Generally, trains tend to ride smoother than buses too. Drawback is the higher fare and 13 hour travel time.

Your choice.

I would take the train. It may be easier for you to catch the train out of Buffalo. Its a 7 hour ride and it puts you into Penn Station. Its much more comfortable and you get alot more room.

I prefer the train !
You can get up and walk around, the bathrooms are nicer, and there is the snack car.
Its usually faster too.
