i'm traveling solo to italy and need to know if there are train rides from bolzano to naples?

Always!! The train systems are extremely well organized, everything goes everywhere. You can look at the website www.trenitalia.it
However, if I were you, wouldn't worry about it. Just go there. When you're in Bolzano, go the the trainstation the day before you depart so that you can get the hours and purchase your ticket. What ever you do... don't forget to have your train ticket stamped on the yello machine. You'll see everyone else do it. If you don't stamp it (it stamps the day and the time) you'll probably get a ticket from the guy walking around the train punching tickets.

Yes, you have to change in Bologna or other cities (one night train is straight from Bolzano to Naples). It'll take near 9 hours
