What is the best way to travel from Ottawa to New Brunswick? By train, plane or should I hire a car?

I will be visiting Canada for the first time in July and will visit my brother who is a diplomat in Ottawa.

My personal choice would be by train, simply because I find it restful, and the scenery is great.

I would suggest the train. It will save you the hassle of driving on unknown roads where you won't be able to enjoy the scenery, and it is grand.

Depends on where you are going in NB, the train goes through Moncton, and skips a great deal of the province. If that is convenient for you, it's by far the best way to go, and you will see some wonderful scenery that is not accessable by road.

Train may be the best way, especially if you don't know the roads and flying can be expensive So train, though it's about a 20hour ride form Ottawa to Moncton so be sure to get a room because sleeping in the main seats is extremely uncomfortable. In terms of scenery, especially going through NB, trees, trees and more trees, but there is other thinsg to see besides trees.

Depends on how fast you want to get to your destination. I'd perfer to fly, that way I get there faster to spend more time there. If you like the scenery, then take a train. Its relaxing and you can enjoy the view, just takes a bit longer. Dont go by car. You'll always have to gas up the car, and it can be a drag sitting in 1 seat and not being able to get up and stretch your legs whenever you want too.

Definitely fly. Trains suck. Driving would take too long.
