What is the best way to travel across the U.S.? By Auto, Train, or Bus? Air travel is excluded.?

By car becouse you can wander around like kane and solve mystories.

I love road trips I took one a few years back where I just left and went where the small highways took me. It was great seeing small towns and off beat rec areas barely anyone uses.

I would say a car because then you can stop where ever you want along the way. If you took a train or a bus you couldn't do that.

Like driving a house.

it depends if your going on your own/ with the missus or with your mates.
if your going with your missues or on your own best to get a car. but if your going with a group of mates get a mini-bus.
i did it with about 9 of my mates and it was a blast!
just let the road take you away and you'll see some great small towns, and friendly people.

I enjoy traveling by train. There is something to be said about reclining in your chair and watching America pass by.
If you are hungry, you get up to the diner car and eat. The bathroom, hey just get up and walk to the end of the car. Do you want to sleep? Pull back the recliner and nod off. There is plenty of room to do computer work or just read a newspaper or magazine. The great thing is, your still moving closer to your destination without having to stop if you were traveling by car.
