I would go back in time to meet the head librarian of the library in Alexandria, Egypt. At the time it held copies of every written text know to man. For centuries all ships coming into the port were searched and any written documents were seized and copied with the copies (and some payment) going to the owner and the original would be stored in the library. This place held all the medical, scientific, philosophical, metaphysical, dramas, plays, poems, odes, sagas, treatises, tales and legends going back thousands of years. Until it was destroyed by invading armies and all its scrolls and books lost. This is the place where one would be able to discover the secrets of the ancients..... Great tales and stories that have been lost to mankind for all time.

As we live we travel through time
and when we move from room to room we travel through space.

But in theory yes, I would go back in time to see the great civilizations oh and to be at the grass knoll with a great camera
