that can takes those speeds, as the human body "couldn't," so isn't this part of the FACTS we get in the bible about Jesus being transfigured?

LOL you really are into this whole Space Alien thing, aren't you?
When I was in college, I actually conducted a research project trying to show that the Bible is evidence of extra-terrestrial visitation by OUTER SPACE aliens. :D Edit: Gary F is right for the most part, except for one major point - the closer one gets to light speed, the more one's mass increases. This means that more force is required to accelerate a body as one approaches that threshold. To obtain enough acceleration to break the speed-of-light threshold, ones mass becomes infinite and would need infinite force to accelerate to that limit. Without becoming massless, as light is, this cannot be achieved. |

I'm not sure what you're saying
can you rephrase? but about the whole human body thing. if you have enough energy and the technology to reach the speed of light, the human body can take it. the misconception that the human body can't take it is because in movies and stuff they go from like stand still to like 99% of speed of light in 7 seconds. doing that would squish your body agains the seats or whatever till you're as thin as tin foil. what you can do though is gradually accelirate to the speed of light. when i mean gradually i mean like accelirateing from 0-60 under a sec. that would be fast but the human body can take it. but once you reach the speed of light you are no longer matter you're energy. |

The "speed" is not the problem so as much as the 'acceleration" to achieve it.
The space shuttle generates about 3g during launch; and humans can tolerate up to 9g for a brief period. Long story short -- it would require months of constant acceleration within the limits of human tolerance to get near the speed of light. And then there is the whole matter of a fuel source,..., blah, blah, blah Jesus did not even know about electricity or indoor plumbing, so it is doubtful he was conducting any experiments involving the speed of light. |
