No, I don't think so. Not even NASA.

Of course they do or where would they get kryptonite from?

Velco is alien too - the government gets it through a trading arrangement with extraterrestrials and sells it to the public to keep people docile and happy.

Finally, the military "buzz" our planet and pretend to he UFOs to keep the people afraid. Fear is one way to control a population. Mind control is the other.

And one more thing: most of Hollywood is under the military's control. Many so-called science fiction movies are actually filmed in deep space, and on distant planets. This is because its cheaper to make films there, and do that, than build expensive sets and employ crowds of carpenters, electricians etc.

no. but i knew a millitary guy that wuz pretty spaced out. wate. wuz that me? anyway, if they did, it'd prolly run on people poop. anyway, duh, ships travel on water, not space. the millitary did however, have a vehicle designed to travel thru space/time/alternate universes but it wuz 2 small to carry people. the scientists were unable to reverse engineer it and it finaly just dissappeared on its own, many years ago.

Yeah... the same military that hasn't yet figured out how to detect IEDs has built a fleet of spaceships.

Can't say I would line up to fly in one.

Military economics would mean a spacesuit would cost as much as the entire Space Shuttle does. They'd run out of funding before reaching the launch pad.
Besides, what would they do in deep space? Invade and occupy a comet?
