an out of the box think question?
this question is based on new predictions emerging from string theory (a branch of theoretical physics which states that reality is based on one-dimensional objects called strings). the string theorists believe space has not three or four but 10 dimensions: height, width, length, time and others that are unknown theory says that a spacecraft could travel at warp speed in a bubble of space-time by manipulating dark energy, the mysterious invisible force accelerating the expansion of the universe The spacecraft would essentially remain in the same place, they said, while space-time ahead of the spaceship shrank, and expanded again behind it. based on the 'Alcubierre warp drive', a mathematical model of a method of stretching space in a wave why could an individual not travel at warp speed in a bubble of space-time with no space craft being used? |

as long as we're dependent on oxygen, we will need a craft around us to contain oxygen... unless you work out some other sci-fi way of getting oxygen into your blood, but even then, you would still likely need something relatively large to contain the mechanical workings of whatever it is.

No we will be dead by 1000 year, because us humans are still to lazy to find alternative fuel source, and we will probably run out of food, because people are to lazy to walk and pick up the crops manually. Jobs will be lost, because people are to lazy to walk to work. People will began killing eachother.... a little offtopic
But as long as we need oxygen to breath, we will need a space craft. |

Hmm, that would be tricky. I'm guessing it depends on the nature of the bubble, which I don't know enough about to say. Theoretically if the bubble was self-contained and contained sufficient air and air pressure, I guess that could happen. But air and air pressure are the real wrinkles; the vacuum of space is damaging to the body in more ways than just the risk of suffocation. If you don't maintain sufficient temperature and air pressure there are all sorts of nasty risks, like freezing of the skin, bursting of blood vessels that can damage or destroy tissue, etc.. So our space travelers may be safer using a vehicle, just in case of depressurization.

In 1000 years there is no telling how far genetic engineering will advance but who knows maybe in 1000 years people might just be able to bio-engineer a spaceship and humans could live and work in symbiosis with the spaceship, then humans might alter their own genetic code to be able to live on other worlds like Mars without the need to terraform the planet, a lot of crap can happen in 1000 years so there is no right or wrong answer here.

i read somthing about that it said that in like another 10 to 40 million years humans will evolve in toanother type of being one that doesn't need oxygen one that doesn't air one that can travle at warp speeds and one that can go into space wil out the need of an air craft.
my theory states that (yes this is an afterlife theory) when the human dies his or her soul is transported (yes transported) in to another human yes a baby and evolves it just a little bit that little bit is like 0.000000000000000000000000000000000001 of an evolution chain saying that in 40 million years humans will nol onger be humans but another type of human thats not man but its a human stating that we will become somthing differant i dont know what eactly but its somthing an it doesnt require oxygen and it can move at warp speeds |

if u read a bit more about 'strings' (or as i know as cosmic strings), you will find that these strings are oscillating with the speed of light. so if you travel in any speed less than that of light, you r screwed. if you travel faster than light, then the time entire will stop. again, u r screwed. there is no escape from this. speaking of the 10 dimensions, 6 of these dimensions can be obtained by combining 4 dimensions.
its a good thing that you get inspired by those sci-fi movies, but dont trust them completely =] |
