cant our goverment save lots of mony on space travel if they work out some sort of deal with the aliens???

i mean the goverment spends all these millions of dollars sending astronats to other planets... an here theres all these ufos flying round that fly back an forth all the time anyway... cudent the goverment make some deal with the aliens to give us rides there so we dont got to spend all this mony building rockets to get there??? like maybe they cud give rides to our astronats in exchange for food.. or fuel... or wat ever else they need???

What would we offer them? Old tapes of the "X-Files"? Green Cheese? Maybe we could trade our grammar and spelling books -- seeing that we don't seem to use em' down here!

funny :) but one thing is astronauts don't actually go to other planets, space crafts do ex: new horizons to pluto, the only place man has set foot on is the moon and, well, earth...but they do say that the government is hiding stuff about strange finds, but the question there is have they actually ever come in contact with aliens, or possibly just their technology and transportation??? but if they ever do come across them and make friends (who's to say they could even be trusted with our astronauts) then maybe that would be fair trade?

There is an (old!) episode of the twilight zone called "To Serve Man" that deals with this idea. Some aliens show up and offer to work with the government. They are really nice, and say that they want to set up diplomatic outposts on our planet, and help us solve our problems here. They offer for some people from Earth to come live and study on their planet, to learn about their technology. They have a book that they carry with them that some human linguists get a hold of. They decipher the cover right away, because it's in their formal writing that they have seen more often. It says "To Serve Man." Everyone is happy because they want these aliens to serve and help them. It takes them a while to decipher the rest of the book. When they do they find out that it is...

...a cookbook! Gasp!

So, from that show I have learned that we should be careful about the intentions of aliens who want to work with us. When they say they want to "serve" us, do they want to help us or do they want to stew us and serve us with a side of potatoes?
