Not only intertested in hearing opinions on space travel but astronomy and simply observing and trying to understand how the universe works or is this considered heresy?
Or all they all just happy sitting around waiting for doomsday? |

I would love to design starcraft, or fly on them. I don't think it's scientifically feasible, but if we had some major theoretical breakthroughs in physics, it could happen.
My beliefs in God and Jesus do not conflict with my love of science and the vast beauty of the created universe in any way. I don't think we'll find other intelligent life out there, but I do think it's very possible God has put other plants and animals on extrasolar planets. |

Good question. I have to try to look at it from God's view. He tells His children that all knowledge is from Him, so why are we cruising the outer limits for "understanding". I don't believe it's heresy, it's just a fruitless endeavor. I believe that not one thing out their will increase my faith or relinquish it, or any other person really. If they find evidence to support the big bang then Athiests and others will say "SEE!" and the Christians will see that evidence and say "isn't it wonderful how God blinds the unbelievers!". And yes, we do wait around for "doomsday" as you called it, yet we aren't scared of death so it doesn't cause us doom, only freedom and a family reunion of EPIC proportions!

I love to learn about science, space, the galaxies, the stars/suns, the cosmos, etc. But as man, our knowledge is limited and our ability to 'know it all' is also limited. Even if mankind lives for 100,000 more years. I know the universe exists. I believe that God created all seen and unseen. And since man is limited and God isn't, I'll wait until He tells me how it works. God willing I go to Heaven. I believe that only God can explain it all to mankind. Mankind can't explain it to Him.
Peace! |
