Space travel doesn't hurt the environment at all. In fact, spacecraft like the space shuttle are among the least polluting technologies on earth--its powered mostly by burning hydrogen and oxygen--with steam (water) as the exhaust.

If you're talking about themyth that spacecraft "put holes" in the ozone layer or whatever, that is nothing but what I said--a myth perpetrated by people who know nothing about the science.

Not much. NASA is making an engine that is even cleaner then the one they have now.

Space travel doesn't hurt the environment. We use liquid oxygen and hydrogen as fuels (which means the biproducts are just steam).
