I am going travelling to Brazil for 2-3 months in Jan'09. how much i would need for food, accomodation etc?

I am travelling on a budget....i.e. sharing rooms in hostels, not eating in restaurants, willing to travel cheaply etc.

It depends, are you going to be visitng popular sites, where in Brazil are you going. Rio is very expensive, elsewhere however you can eat for about $5. Also are you going to be working over there?

Id figure what you need to do 1st, such as going to the top of sugar loaf on the tram and seeing the jesus statue is very expensive.....
