Default How come when I try to drive between Oxford in the UK and New York I end up in the middle of the Pacific Ocean?

I've tried to drive that journey many times before. just can't work out where I'm going wrong!

I am amazed you manage to avoid the Irish Sea and the English Channel.

You took a wrong turn. Just go down the M40/M25/M26/M20 to Dover and get a ferry to Calais.

From there follow the signs to Dunkirk and stay on the E40 motorway. Do not leave the E40 motorway, it will take you through Belgium, Germany, Poland, the Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Usbekistan and all the way to China. Continue east and north up the coast of China and cross into Russia, and eventually you will get to Vladivostok.

From there, if you wait for winter, you can drive across the frozen sea into Alaska, and continue your journey without encountering any more wet bits.

Try going to Much Benham, then through to St. Mary Meade, you actually should end up in the Atlantic.

You turned left instead of right on the M40 - you should end up in the middle of the Atlantic instead.
