Default Does The Grand Canyon Resemble How The Pacific Ocean Would Look If All The Water Was Gone?

no it looks more like lake powell minus water, the grand canyon would be more interesting to visit watching all those sea creatures die or suffocate on oxygen ,now that the water is drained and we would have to haul ass over there and do some major fish bbq to avoid the stench of decaying fish

Ah global warming...once the polar ice caps finish melting, Granny Sugars can swim in the Canyon again just like when she was a little girl.

The Grand Canyon is a midget compared to some of the trenches in the Pacific....

I think you're talking about the shape, more than anything else. And no, the shape of the Grand Canyon does not resemble the shape of the Pacific Basin.

The Pacific is a lot wider than it is deep. There are other differences too, but that's the main one.

No.

The Grand Canyon is a sedimentary basin (horizontal beds of sandstone, clay and pebbles) cut by a river stream.

And the Pacific Ocean has other origin: heavy and dark oceanic lava solidified.
