Can you cross the Bering Strait and the Pacific Ocean in a Wing in ground effect vehicle?

Using a WIG or Flying Hovercraft that can go over 18 foot waves perhaps. Or the Wright Brothers type of plane.

NO, you'd probably be shot down by the Russians as soon as you crossed the IDL. And if by some miracle you weren't, you would be shot down by the American's on your way back.

In the coldest months, it is actually ice all the way across the Bering Strait so you wouldn't have to worry about waves that much...You would have to worry about Ice currents tho...
