There are so many archipelagos in the Pacific while in the Atlantic, there are so many territories. (i.e. Azores, St. Helena, Bermuda, Falkland Is., ETC. - there are so many)

Here are the archipelagos from the Pacific:
- Melanesia
- Micronesia
- Polynesia
- Tuamotu

So, what islands are you talking about?

There are no specific or formal names for islands in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans...you have to know which islands you are loking for.

The Atlantic has a lot less than the Pacific and they belong to different European countries. In the Pacific you have many Archipelagos and atolls that some are independent and others belong to continental countries.
